During the summer months many guests enjoy riding bicycles along the Gitchi Gami State Trail located right in our front yard.
History of the inn
j gregers inn was Built in 1946 by “Porky” Nelson. The inn was first a dance hall and saloon frequented by commercial fishermen and loggers.
The Lake Superior inn
Much of the original maple flooring remains, which adds to the simple home-like setting created in each of the uniquely-decorated rooms. You can choose from two types of lodging: the inn itself has four rooms, (two with kitchens) and there is also a two-room cabin with a safe and clean gas fireplace.
Open all year
The inn is open year-round and located next to Gooseberry Falls State Park, just 14 miles Northeast of Two Harbors and 35 miles from Duluth on Highway 61, along Lake Superior’s beautiful North Shore.
